My family name Xia in Chinese means Summer, my favorite season. Like my name, I have a warm and welcoming personality as my top note; humor and creativity is my middle note; and base note is all the beautiful little things and beyond. (Yes! I’m using terms from perfume to describe some of my key traits). I enjoy reading, writing and sewing, and I am home decor fever. You will find me in a comfy arm chair, reading a book. It might be a poem, a fiction novel, a detective story, OR Harry Potter! I can sew clothes for myself, my husband and my son. I also write musical plays for my church.

Before wearing my camera, I used to wear a lab coat. Majoring in Food Science, I worked as a food scientist designing various formulations for functional foods, beverages and pharmaceuticals. Until my little wild human Nathan came into my world, I decided to write journals and take images to document his growth. Ever since, I have found my passion in photography. A lot of my friends started to invite me to take photos for their families and kids. With their support and encouragement, I started my own studio, and enjoy my new title as a photographer.
